You are one of the shining stars in my cabinet – Tinubu celebrates Wike on birthday

President Bola Tinubu has described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as one of the shining stars in my cabinet as he celebrated his birthday.

In a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga,
Special Adviser to the President on Friday, President Tinubu congratulated Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, on the occasion of his birthday, praising his courage, resilience, and commitment to service.

The President thanked God for Wike’s life, saying it has been defined by purpose, service, and courage. 

He described the FCT Minister as an audacious leader who consistently delivers results despite challenges.

President Tinubu highlighted the ongoing transformation of Abuja under Wike’s leadership, particularly his role in breaking the 14-year deadlock surrounding the construction of the Apo–Karshi road.

He noted that Wike’s performance has further justified his long-held reputation as “Mr Project,” stressing that the title is no longer limited to his home state of Rivers.

“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers. 

“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey”.

The President thanked the Minister for his consistent efforts in improving infrastructure and governance in the FCT and wished him good health and strength to continue his work.
