2027: Datti Baba-Ahmed just a bitter ex – NDC chieftain

by · Daily Post

The Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, Theo Abu Agada, has described the 2023 Labour Party, LP, presidential running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, as a “bitter ex.”

Agada’s remark followed Datti’s claim that the 2027 NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and others vying for the presidency cannot improve Nigeria.

While charging President Bola Tinubu to step aside in 2027, Datti said he should not hand over power to any presidential candidate contesting against him because they are unfit to occupy the office of the president.

In an interview over the weekend, Datti also disclosed how he warned Obi against dumping the LP for the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Recall that Obi defected from the LP to the ADC earlier this year, citing a leadership crisis.

In his search for a presidential ticket, Obi left the ADC for the NDC, where he emerged as the party’s flag bearer, while former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso was named his running mate.

Faulting Datti’s latest comment, Agada wrote on X: “Datti Baba-Ahmed is just a bitter ex.”
