Transfer: Bruno Guimaraes informs Newcastle about decision to join Arsenal
by Ifreke Inyang · Daily PostNewcastle captain, Bruno Guimaraes, has informed the Premier League club of his desire to join Arsenal.
The Gunners are yet to make any direct contact with the Magpies over a potential deal.
But Sky Sports reports that Arsenal have explored the conditions of a deal for the 28-year-old via intermediaries.
Guimaraes has two years left on his current contract, with a year’s option to extend to the summer of 2029.
Newcastle have no interest in selling the Brazil international, insisting their captain is not for sale and they will not entertain any bids.
