He wrote: “INEC (@inecnigeria ), it is now 2:33 p.m., yet no result has been uploaded to the IReV portal. What is the delay?
“Nigerians deserve transparency and timely updates.”
The singer’s comment comes as voters across Osun State participate in the election to determine the next occupant of the Bola Ige Government House for the next four years.
A total of 15 political parties are on the ballot, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party.
Two candidates, Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and Simon Adewale of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, had announced their withdrawal from the contest.
While Adeyemi-Doro endorsed the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, Adewale declared support for Adeleke. Both APGA and APM, however, remain on the ballot.
