War: Again, Trump hints on deal with Iran

by · Daily Post

United States President Donald Trump has again said that the US was very close to a deal with Iran.

Trump made this known on Thursday while addressing journalists outside the White House.

Recall that negotiators led by Vice President JD Vance met with Iranian leadership in Pakistan last weekend for direct negotiations to end the war, but they did not reach an agreement.

“It should be ending pretty soon. It was perfect. It’s perfect. It was the power we have. We had the most powerful military anywhere in the world,” Trump said.

His appearance was to promote his no-tax-on-tips policy, which eliminates federal income tax on tip-based wages for many workers.

The president had, a few hours earlier, stated that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a 10-day ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Iran has complained about Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon during its own 10-day ceasefire with the United States.
