by · Daily Post

As the 2026 World Cup enters its quarter-final stage, the Opta SuperComputer has given its prediction for teams that will qualify for the last four.

France will play Morocco, Spain face Belgium, Norway take on England and Argentina will clash with Switzerland.

Opta has given France the highest chance of winning the trophy at 27.32%, agreeing with most pundits and observers that Didier Deschamps’ men are strong favourites.

Spain, who are the current European champions, have been given a 21.33% probability of becoming world champions.

Argentina and England have been given a 17.28% and 16.48% respectively.

This means Norway, Switzerland, Morocco and Belgium are all expected to be eliminated in the quarter-finals.
