2027: Release my files- Peter Obi responds to Reno Omokri’s allegation of FBI records
by Ochogwu Sunday · Daily PostThe 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi has addressed an allegation by Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Mexico and former presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri on FBI records.
Omokri while responding to questions during an interview on the City Boy Movement Podcast last week, claimed that all the 2027 presidential candidates have records with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
The former presidential media aide insisted he can prove that all the candidates, including Peter Obi, have records with the FBI but they may not be a criminal record.
Responding to the allegation, Obi said during an interview in Washington, DC, USA that he has no knowledge of any FBI file linked to him.

The former governor of Anambra State urged the investigation agency to release any of his records to the public, stating that a person seeking to occupy public office must subject himself to scrutiny.
He said, “I don’t even know who the FBI is. If they have found any files about me, I don’t know. I have not met with any FBI. It is Reno Omokri and the FBI people that met.
“In Nigeria, I have not gone to a police station, talk of FBI. If I have an FBI file which I’m not aware of, it is time for them to bring it to the public.”
