Chery Lends 50 Cars To Help Putra Heights Residents Recover From Fire
The cars will be provided to the victims for one month.

Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Chery has pledged to lend 50 cars to residents affected by the recent pipeline fire in Putra Heights
According to Malay Mail, Selangor Executive Councillor (EXCO) Ng Sze Han said that the EV manufacturer is contributing to ongoing efforts to assist over a hundred families impacted by the fire, which damaged their homes and vehicles after the gas pipeline rupture.
"We understand that many need to go to work. Some of them have to send their children to school.
"So Chery is lending 50 cars," said the Kinrara assemblyperson.
Ng expressed his gratitude to Chery Malaysia for their contribution, valued at approximately RM500,000, and encouraged other automotive companies to collaborate with the state government to ease the burden of the fire victims, reported Bernama.

As of 6pm yesterday, 1 April, the fire and rescue department reported that the fire had impacted 237 houses, displacing a total of 305 residents
At least 145 individuals received hospital treatment for burns and heat inhalation injuries.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced immediate financial assistance of RM5,000 for victims whose homes were destroyed and RM2,500 for those whose homes were partially damaged.
Puchong member of parliament Yeo Bee Yin also said an allocation of RM10,000 has been set aside for additional emergency measures, with the possibility of increasing the amount if needed.
Many victims are now staying at the temporary evacuation centre (PPS) at the Putra Heights Mosque, reported the New Straits Times.
