A documentary about Oasis' reunion tour is coming to cinemas later this year
by Jane Moore, https://www.thejournal.ie/author/jane-moore/ · TheJournal.ieMANY FANS PREDICTED it would happen, and it’s finally been confirmed: a documentary on Oasis’ Live ’25 reunion tour is on the way.
The documentary, which is currently untitled, was created by Peaky Blinders director Steven Knight.
It will chart last year’s comeback tour, where brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher appeared onstage together for the first time in 16 years and played sold out shows across five continents – including two in Dublin’s Croke Park.
The documentary will include footage of rehearsals, the shows themselves, and Noel and Liam’s first joint interview in over 25 years.

It also promises to explore “the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide”.
“I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film,” Steven Knight said. “I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people.
“I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever.
“It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.”
The documentary will open at select theatres worldwide on 11 September before streaming exclusively on Disney+ later this year.
Further details, including cinema listings, will be announced soon.
