Inquiry against A.P. IPS officer Sunil Kumar
by G.V.R. Subba Rao · The HinduGovernment, after careful examination of the matter, have decided to conduct regular inquiry into the charge framed against IPS officer P.V. Sunil Kumar, D.G.P. (waiting).
In GO 96 issued on Friday, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand said that the Government appointed R.P. Sisodia, Special Chief Secretary to Government (Land and D.M., Registration and Stamps), Revenue Department as the Inquiring Authority to inquire into the charge framed against Mr. Sunil Kumar.
Further, in terms of Rule 8(6)(c) of All India Services (D&A) Rules,1969, Harish Kumar Gupta, Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement & Ex-Officio Principal Secretary to Government, General Administration (V&E) Department was appointed as Presenting Officer to present the case on behalf of the Government before the Inquiring Authority in respect of the charge framed against Mr. Sunil Kumar, he said.
In another GO 95, the government said that it has decided to drop further action against IPS officer Madireddy Pratap.The government, in the year 2020, called for an explanation from Mr. Madireddy Pratap on certain comments made by him during the press conference on 13.07.2020 in the premises of APSRTC Headquarters.
Mr. Madireddy Pratap has submitted his reply/explanation to the government,said Principal Secretary (Poll) S. Suresh Kumar in the GO.
