Social media influencer from Vizag held for promoting betting apps

The Cybercrime police here on Saturday (February 22) arrested social media influencer Vasupalli Nani alias ‘Local boy Nani’ for allegedly promoting betting applications on social media platforms. He was arrested following complaints from public. As per a release from the police, he recently created a video promoting several betting applications on his YouTube channel and Instagram page. In the video, he was found asking people to invest small amounts and get a high return. The police said many had lost large sums after investing in such applications. The police appealed to the public not to believe in such apps.
