Dance superstars Basement Jaxx have announced a huge outdoor summer show for Manchester next year.

The British dance act, known for hits including Romeo, Where’s Your Head At, and Good Luck, have announced a string of big shows in the UK - including a gig at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl in July.

The shows, which have been announced to coincide with their 30th anniversary, will mark their first solo headline gigs for the duo in ten years having opted for festival slots, including the likes of events like Tramlines, Dreamland Margate, and Kendal Calling.

Alongside a bunch of festival appearances, the act - made up of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe - will also perform headline shows in Scarborough, Exeter, London, Cardiff, Dublin and Manchester across the summer.

Their Manchester show will take place at Castlefield Bowl on July 12 as part of Sounds of the City. The series of gigs at the outdoor Manchester venue will also feature the likes of Bloc Party, Hacienda Classical, Rizzle Kicks and Elbow.

Tickets will be going on general sale for the Basement Jaxx gig on Friday (November 29) at 9am via Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours.

Speaking about the return to headline shows, Felix said: “After a few years DJing round the globe, it’ll be great to return to the live stage and the Live Show Experience. To connect to people with life affirming energy and give people a great time.”

The act, who have twice won Best British Dance Act award at the BRIT Awards, have released seven studio albums, including the 1999 debut Remedy - which spawned singles including Red Alert, Rendez-Vu and Jump n Shout.

“It’s great our hits are still very much alive with younger generations,” Felix added. “So we connect across the age range – and it’ll be great to pop in a couple of bangers from our forthcoming album too. It feels like 2025 is the beginning of a new era for many and I think that’s probably true for Basement Jaxx too.”
