by · Manchester Evening News

Maura Higgins has been teasing her fans after she was rumoured to be making an appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

The former Love Island star was among the famous faces rumoured to be heading Down Under for the ITV reality show this year. However, she wasn't part of the official line-up of 10 stars confirmed to be heading into camp.

Maura has since got tongues wagging by sharing a black and white photograph of a plane to her more than three million followers, alongside which she posted a comment box and asked her followers: "Where to?"

Fans thought she was finally on her way to Australia to be one of I'm A Celeb's 2024 latecomers alongside another rumoured star Reverend Richard Coles.

However, a short time later, Stacey Solomon posted a photo of herself on a plane with a group of people - which included This Morning skincare expert Caroline Hirons - as they headed to Las Vegas on a brand trip to watch one of Adele's final shows.

And fans were quick to express their shock that Maura appeared to be with them. One said: "This confirms Maura won’t be the extra in the jungle," wrote one, along with a crying face emoji. Another commented: "I guess @maurahiggins isn’t going to the jungle then," alongside broken heart emojis.
