Lauryn Goodman breaks silence on Kyle Walker's shock Italy move

by · Manchester Evening News

Lauryn Goodman has spoken out for the first time on claims that she's moving to Italy amid her ex Kyle Walker's recent transfer to AC Milan.

The star shares two children - four-year-old son Kairo and 19-months old daughter Kinara with the England defender. Lauryn has been involved in the highly publicised saga with herself, Kyle and his wife Annie Kilner.

While Annie is expected to relocate with Kyle for a fresh start, Lauryn spoke with the Mirror about what this could mean for her. The TV personality shared: "For the last year I wished to have the option to move abroad because, with all of the drama, I’d like a life reset, but I’m not sure how that looks for us at the minute or what that entails.

"It makes no difference to me where [Kyle] is, he could be on Mars right now for all I care."

Lauryn admitted that although she feels uncertain as to whether she's staying put at the current home she lives in with her two children, she wants "a fresh start". The star has faced a mountain of negative press ever since her affair with the former Manchester City player became public after sending an "explosive" text to Annie, revealing he was the father of their second child.

As Lauryn shared that she only wants her children to be treated the same way Kyle and Annie's shared children (13-year-old Roman, nine-year-old Riaan, seven-year-old Reign and baby Rezon) are, she added: "I’ve been through hell and back fighting for my children and then absolutely being crucified for it in the process."

Lauryn discussed how she plans on navigating the conversation with her children now that Kyle is based in another country: "I want to speak to his school about it so that everyone’s on the same page", before revealing that she's spoken to "therapists and professionals" about how to handle the discussion.

She also opened up about how difficult it can be as a full-time mum: "I was lucky enough to be awarded enough for, currently, 20 hours of childcare a week, which helps, of course, but with the comments I get, I think people think I have a full-time nanny. I don’t do anything for myself.

"Every day of the week is taken up with an activity and, typically, always in a different direction to the other one. I want to give my children the best. They are both bilingual; they both speak Spanish. They do gymnastics, football, swimming, you name it, they do it.

"Kairo’s football is an hour away, he trains for an hour and it’s an hour back – and I do that three times a week. I do everything I can to make sure they’re given the best tools in life. And I just feel… how hard it is all the time.

"I’m just hoping to build our own life – me and the kids – so that we’re not dependent on anyone else... Watch this space."
