'I love it' Pep Guardiola defiant on Man City future after heavy Sporting defeat

The Blues expect to be in the running for the Premier League and Champions League every year after six league titles in the past seven seasons and an historic Treble in 2023. They have every chance of more silverware but three consecutive losses - the worst run since 2018 - amid an injury crisis has raised issues in the team that need to be solved.
Guardiola was more upbeat than captain for the night Bernardo Silva when he was analysing the game, but knows that he must work to get thee players out of their slump and back to their best. While there may be questions about how to do it, the manager's willingness to work on that cannot be doubted.

"I'm here. We knew it would be a tough season at the start but this is what it is," he said. "I like it, I love it, I want to face it and lift my players and try it.
"Life is like this. Maybe the past six Premier Leagues in seven years and four in a row is an exception. Today we played really good, Bournemouth they deserved it. Continue.
"I have to try to find an explanation but sometimes it's just football so accept it. Sport is that. Life is that.
"Sometimes we have bad moments but we face the reality. Everyone has to try to be better and we will find it. We are still alive in all competitions and we continue."
