Cheryl arrives at Liam Payne's funeral to say goodbye to father of their child

Cheryl has been seen arriving at Liam Payne's funeral, which is being held one month on from the singer's tragic death in Argentina.

Family and friends of the former One Direction singer have come together to say their final goodbye to Liam, who fell from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires last month.

Liam, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2010, sustained "serious injuries that were incompatible with life", after falling from a balcony with an inquiry into his death still ongoing.

Liam's former bandmates, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, plus Girls Aloud singers Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh were all seen at the church entrance this morning. Cheryl arrived at the back of the church as she headed in to pay her respects.

Cheryl and Liam remained close after they broke up in 2018, and they continued to co-parent their son Bear, aged seven.

Heartbreakingly, a floral tribute of the word 'Daddy' was seen with Liam's coffin which arrived at the Home Counties church in a horse-drawn carriage.

The funeral is being kept as a private ceremony closed to the public so that his friends and family can pay their respects privately.

But dozens of locals and fans have gathered outside the church to pay their final respects.

Simon Cowell, X-Factor judge and mentor to Liam, has also attended the funeral today to say his final farewell to the beloved singer.

The entrance of the church which is hosting the service has been decorated with candle lanterns and white roses that have been arranged in surrounding shrubbery.

Following Payne’s death fans around the world held vigils in his memory, including a shrine to the late star in his hometown of Wolverhampton.
