BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans declare love for couple as viewers left 'stunned'

Strictly Come Dancing fans have declared their love for a couple after their latest dance on the show.

This week the BBC One dance contest brought the 'lights, camera, action' of the film world with Movie Week, the first special of the 2024 series.

Among those taking part were comedian Chris McCausland with professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, who danced the jive dressed as Wayne and Garth from 1992 film Wayne's World.

And viewers watching at home took to social media to celebrate the couple's routine which scored a 30 from the judges.

@NatureBookish wrote on X: "#Strictly Chris and Diane are dynamite combination" while @Aoifs123 wrote: "Chris is simply phenomenal Absolutely inspirational, brilliant & iconic . How he manages to keep in sync, & perform so well despite being blind is amazing. An absolute hero who spreads so much joy."

Meanwhile, @HelenAPat added: "I'm actually quite stunned by Chris McCausland" while @kevwgs said: "I am genuinely stunned at how good Chris McCausland is in every aspect of the dances. Dianne Buswell take a bow, you are an extraordinary teacher."

Many fans also declared their love for the pairing, with @totallyangel_xo writing: "Love watching Chris and Dianne" and @Sophie_Davisx said: "Just sat smiling the whole way through Chris and Diannes dance, literally love them so much."

The full list of celebrities who were taking part in Strictly this year is Olympic medalist and TV presenter Sam Quek, former footballer Paul Merson, TV presenter Nick Knowles, Gladiator Montell Douglas, Eastenders actor Jamie Borthwick, Miranda actress Sarah Hadland, singer and actor Shayne Ward, TV personality and podcast host Pete Wicks, model and Love Island star Tasha Ghouri, BBC Morning Live's Dr Punam Krishan, singer Toyah Willcox, opera singer Wynne Evans, JLS star JB Gill, and comedian Chris McCausland.

Olympic swimmer Tom Dean was the first celebrity voted off last week.
