Boxing tonight: Live stream, fight time and full undercard for huge unification fight

by · Manchester Evening News

Following Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul, the boxing world turns its attention back to Saudi Arabia for a major event.

Tonight's latest Riyadh Season card is set to feature a mouth-watering world cruiserweight unification clash as WBO champion Chris Billam-Smith faces off against WBA title holder Gilberto Ramirez. This match-up promises to be the most challenging of Billam-Smith's career following his June triumph over old rival Richard Riakporhe at Selhurst Park.

Ramirez has made history as the first Mexican to claim world champion titles in both the super-middleweight and cruiserweight classes. His ambition now is to dominate the 200lb category, with his sole defeat so far being at the hands of light-heavyweight legend Dmitry Bivol.

"It's an exciting unification fight against someone who has only been beaten by Bivol," said Billam-Smith, 34, ahead of the fight. "It's a very hard test and it would be an honour for me to become unified champion."

Proud Mexican Ramirez added: "I'm excited to make this fight happen with Chris Billam-Smith. It's been a long time coming, and I'm looking forward to becoming the unified champion in this division.

"I've always said this was my division and I'm happy for the opportunity to showcase my skills at this level on a global stage in Riyadh. It's truly an honour to be a Mexican warrior and to showcase what true Mexican boxing is all about while bringing my culture to a global audience."
