Casemiro gives two-word verdict after Ruben Amorim's first Man United training session

by · Manchester Evening News

Ruben Amorim's tenure at Manchester United is now officially up and running after the Portuguese head coach took charge of his first training session at Carrington.

The new Reds boss will be tasked with getting United back into the European places having made a disappointing start to the campaign. The club are currently in 13th place with just four wins from their opening 11 Premier League fixtures.

Amorim has already stressed it'll take time to get his ideas across to his new crop of players having joined from Sporting at the beginning of the current international break. United moved quickly to appoint the 39-year-old after parting company with Erik ten Hag.

Amorim is still waiting for his visa but has taken charge of his first United training session at Carrington on Monday. A number of the Reds' international contingent have flown back early to impress the new head coach, who will take charge of United for the first time this weekend.

The Reds travel to Portman Road, where they'll face Ipswich Town. Before then, Amorim will have a few days to get his philosophy across to the players and he's left a positive first impression on Casemiro.

Taking to social media, the Brazilian shared a picture from this weeks training, captioning it 'Top training.'"

It bodes well for the club moving forward to see players respond well to Amorim's first session in charge. Of course, results will be the defining factor of his Man United tenure and a positive start would alleviate any pressure.

United kick-off at Portman Road at 4.30pm on Sunday, November 24th and a win could see them move back into the top-half of the Premier League.
