ITV I'm A Celebrity fans say 'let's not' as they ask for crucial show move to be scrapped
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening News'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here fans have demanded a crucial part of the show to be scrapped as they made the same claim about this year's line-up.
The 2024 run of the ITV reality show kicked off on Sunday night (November 17) and saw ten famous faces being introduced as they prepared to make their jungle debuts - including WAG Coleen Rooney, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and McFly star Danny Jones.
Joining them on the show, is Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse, TikTok and Loose Women star GK Barry, N-Dubz singer Tulisa, BBC Radio 1 DJ Melvin Odoom, Loose Women panellist and journalist Jane Moore, former boxer Barry McGuigan and radio presenter Dean McCullough.
The opening episode saw the celebrities split into two groups, there wasn't much time for the celebrities to get acquainted as they were swiftly faced with a trial that would decide the first camp leaders of the series.
Then, during the second episode on Monday night (November 18), fans were surprised to see campmate GK Barry, also known as Grace, miss out on just one star in the Vile Volcano bushtucker trial after she appeared to be terrified of the critters she encountered.
Having been voted by the public for the trial GK was given a pep talk by her fellow campmates before heading down to see Ant and Dec. She admitted she had likely been voted by the public for being the only person to scream through the challenges the previous day.
Also during the latest udpate from Australia, there were emotional scenes as I'm A Celeb viewers saw former boxing champion Barry McGuigan consoled by his campmates as he broke down while talking about his late daughter, who died five weeks after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2019.

Actress Danika 'Nika' McGuigan died on July 23 2019 at the age of 33, after her second bout of cancer. The Dublin-based star, who played Danielle in BBC Three comedy Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope, originally overcame leukaemia after two years of treatment when she was diagnosed at the age of 11.
Following the episode, I'm A Celeb fans decided this year's vote for the celebrities to be ousted from the camp, which usually starts a week into their time Down Under, should be scrapped because its the 'most likeable' cast the show has seen.
