Coronation Street fans 'rumble' Joel Deering's real fate and say he's not dead and has helper

Coronation Street fans think they have 'rumbled' Joel Deering's real fate - and they don't think he's dead. The solictior hasn't been seen on the cobbles since making a concerning phone call last month.

At the time, viewers of the ITV soap saw Joel not show up to his plea hearing, and a warrant was issued for his arrest after DS Lisa Swain was able to nail him for buying the drugs used to prompt Lauren Bolton's early labour, having intended for her to miscarry their baby son, Frankie, as his grooming of the teen was uncovered.

After transferring money to Lauren and his ex-wife Emily, it was believed Joel may end up taking his own life as his car was found. However, Dee-Dee didn't believe this version of events leaving Swain and Kit Green to keep on digging.

However, Swain recently ended up being taken off the case after Kit found text messages between Joel and her daughter in which he threatened to kill her.

Later, Kit reveals to Lisa that Joel died from two blows to the head, inflicted by a heavy weapon, most likely a crowbar. Lisa is shocked to discover from Yasmeen Nazier that she threw Mason Radcliffe out because he had a crowbar and Betsy is intrigued when her mum tells her to stay away from Mason.

But, during Monday night's (October 14), Corrie that viewers saw Kit and PC Craig Tinker studying CCTV from a train station car park, in which they saw Joel and then his dad, Gus, around a locker. Gus was hauled if for questioning by Kit, who was demanding answers, only three lads at a riverbank to spot a body floating in the water.

Craig approached Swain and Kit and announced that they’ve found Joel's body. Kit went to break the news to Dee Dee and Lauren at the hospital while Lisa ended up revealing the news to people in the Rovers.

But Kit was later seen calling back at the hospital and told Lauren that the post-mortem revealed that Joel was dead before he entered the river, so they’re now looking at a murder investigation. He went on to question Lauren about where she was on the night of Joel’s death, the 27th of September.

Meanwhile, Dee-Dee let her dad and uncle, Ed and Ronnie Bailey, know that Joel was murdered before an exchange which seemingly implemented them in Joel's death.

But Corrie fans aren't convinced Joel is really dead - and that Kit is involved in some kind of cover-up. @karenlouisegay said: "I don’t believe Joel is dead and I think Kit’s tied up in covering it up." @barbarawhite2015 commented: "I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t actually dead and Kit knows where he actually is I don’t trust that copper. Kit something very dodgy about him."
