Boy, 14, arrested over murder of 12-year-old

Police were called to Scribers Lane, in the Hall Green area of Birmingham at around 3pm on Tuesday (January 21) after reports of a stabbing. A boy was found with serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, but sadly died.
Officers said his family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. They are now appealing to members of the public with any information on the incident to come forward.
In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "A boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing in Birmingham.
"The boy, 14, was arrested after a 12-year-old boy was found with serious injuries near Scribers Lane, Hall Green shortly after 3pm today (21 January).
The 12-year-old was taken to hospital, but sadly died as a result of his injuries. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
