ITV I'm A Celebrity's Maura Higgins says she's 'not well' as she lands in Australia as latecomer
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsMaura Higgins has said she's 'not well' as she landed in Australia ready to enter I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. While ITV hasn't officially confirmed her arrival, the former Love Island star has headed Down Under and has been talking about being the reality show's latecomer.
As fans of I'm A Celeb know, ten celebrities usually enter camp during the launch show, which for the 2024 series took place on Sunday (November 17) before two more famous faces make a later arrival before the first week in camp is up.
When Maura wasn't included in the main line-up, after being rumoured to be taking part in the hit Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly-fronted show this year, alongside fellow rumoured contestant Rev Richard Coles, fans questioned their whereabouts.

And fans were also left questioning whether Maura would be going into the jungle at all when she was seen heading on a group trip to Las Vegas - which included Loose Woment star Stacey Solomon - to see British singer Adele live at one of her last shows at Caesars Palace.
Taking part in a beach photoshoot as she landed in Oz, Maura, 33, told The Sun: "I’m still on Vegas time. I’m not well. Sin City has killed me. Honestly, not good. I feel like yer man from The Hangover, like, the shakes and everything. It was amazing, just very exhausting. It was like, proper, full on . . . when we landed, just the jet lag, no sleep.
"I have no clue what day it is. I don’t know where I am, I’m so confused." She added: “I don’t really drink champagne, I’m more red wine. So that gives you a bad hangover, you know."
Maura will become only the second ever Love Islander after Olivia Attwood to appear on the ITV show this week. But she might not be as firery as she was when she entered the Spanish villa back in 2019 as a bombshell.
She added to the publication: "I mean, I’m not gonna go in and annihilate anyone. But obviously, if someone gets on my nerves, I’m not really one to hold it in. I do speak my mind. I think I’ve matured, but I still have the potty mouth."
