Inside Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford's family dynamics, wedding ring mishaps and celebrity relatives

Gogglebox has returned to Channel 4, with Pete Sandiford and his sister Sophie sharing their thoughts on the latest TV shows. Fans of the siblings are eager to learn more about Pete's personal life, including his family, after being introduced to his wife and kids.

Pete revealed his relationship with Paige Yeomans, an emergency services call handler with a degree in English and linguistics, on social media in 2020. The couple got engaged in 2021, with Pete announcing the news on the show, and tied the knot in May that year.

They welcomed their first child, a son named Jimmy, four months later in September.

In June 2023, Pete and Paige welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Eva Sylvie. Pete shared an adorable photo of his newborn on Instagram, saying: "Myself and @paigesandiford_ would like to welcome the newest addition to our family, Eva Sylvie Sandiford."

During an episode of Gogglebox, Pete confided in his sister Sophie about the time he lost his wedding ring, admitting he had "never panicked like I did the other day". He explained that his hand was covered in sun cream, causing the ring to slip off when he threw a ball, reports Lancs Live.

Sophie teased Pete about letting his wife retrieve the ring from the water, joking that "Paige nearly f****** drowned getting it back!" Pete quipped that it was Paige who wanted him to wear the ring. In a recent episode of Gogglebox, he humorously remarked that Paige had been "doing his head in" with questions about their daughter Eva's birthday.

His comments were made in good humour as the couple have been contentedly together for at least five years.

Apart from his wife and children, Pete is also related to the Chuckle Brothers.

Pete has mentioned Paul Chuckle, with Paul subsequently proclaiming himself a "proud uncle" to the pair.

Pete posted an old family photograph of himself and Sophie with Paul and Barry, two weeks following Barry's death in August 2018.

He captioned it, 'We are lucky enough to call him Uncle Barry."
