An esteemed Christmas tree farm, known for providing festive trees to both 10 Downing Street and the posh London Ritz, is now on the market with a £2 million price tag.

The Ayrshire-based farm named Garrocher Christmas Tree Farm boasts more than 300,000 trees spread across more than 330 acres and predicts an income exceeding £1.7 million over the next four years.

Listed by John Clegg & Co's forestry division of Strutt & Parker, Garrocher comes complete with a three-bedroom farmhouse, tree handling and wrapping facilities, as well as staff accommodation.

The farm not only serves high-profile clients but also clinched the title of Best Traditional Christmas Tree at the national "tree Oscars" in 2020.

Harry Graham, Associate Director at John Clegg & Co, said: "This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a well-established and highly successful business in one of Scotland’s most scenic and productive regions.

"With over 300,000 trees in various stages of growth and a proven track record of supplying premium markets, the farm offers a strong income stream and significant potential for growth."

The listing also comes with properties

He added: "The combination of first-class handling facilities, well-maintained infrastructure, and an attractive three-bed farmhouse makes Garrocher Farm an attractive investment for those seeking to continue the business or diversify into other agricultural ventures.

"We expect strong interest from those looking to invest in a profitable and distinctive enterprise."

The farm's crop consists of 262,000 Nordman fir trees, along with other species such as Norway spruce, Fraser fir and Korean fir - all planted between 2009-2023. The listing highlights the property's "significant income stream over the next four years."

It boasts more than 300,000 trees

"Trees identified to form part of the current year’s harvest (2024) which total 8,829 will be specifically excluded from the sale and harvested and sold by the seller," the listing states.

"Since ownership, the property has been continuously managed as a commercial Christmas tree farm for the purpose of wholesale tree sales with an excellent client base all over Scotland and England.

"A prospective purchaser has the opportunity to continue to run and utilise this successful business model or may look to revert the land back to its original agricultural form to create a well located and extremely attractive farming enterprise."
