Britney Spears marries again and says 'it's the most brilliant thing I've done'

After three failed marriages, Britney Spears says she has finally found the perfect person as she posted a video of herself wearing a wedding dress and veil on social media

Thrilled Britney Spears claims she has got hitched again in a bizarre announcement - and has married herself.

The singing superstar has left fans puzzled after appearing in a wedding dress with a matching lace veil and telling them she's tied the knot. She offered no more information and turned comments off on her post.

She wrote: "The day I married myself … Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done!!" Britney has been married three times before, to Sam Asghari, Kevin Federline and to Jason Alexander.

Following her divorce to Sam last year after 14 months, she sparked concern with more erratic social media activity. Addressing the end of their relationship, she wrote: "As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because it’s honestly nobody’s business !!!

"But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!!

"I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!! If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!! But that’s when I needed family the most !!!

"You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty damn good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!’

An insider previously told PEOPLE that Britney remained "in great spirits despite everything going on", with the source saying: "Obviously it's never an easy thing to go through, but she’s remaining positive and focusing on the future." Sam's filing cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce, splitting on July 28 2023.

They started dating back in 2016 after meeting on the set of Britney's music video for her track, Slumber Party. Sam proposed in September 2021 and they tied the knot on June 4 the following year in a glitzy ceremony in Los Angeles, joined by A-list friends.
