BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans left hot under collar as Gorka Marquez wears very raunchy outfit

Gorka Marquez took to the Strictly dancefloor this Saturday with Punam Krishan as the pair tried to impress judges. But the dancer's outfit grabbed all the attention.

Strictly Come Dancing fans have gone wild over on social media after Gorka Marquez and his dancing partner Dr Punam Krishan tried to dodge their first elimination.

After taking to the dancefloor last week, Strictly Come Dancing stars, which include the likes of Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and TOWIE alum Pete Wicks, among many others, were all warned that one of them would be heading home after this Saturday's instalment of the BBC One show (September 28, 2024).

Ready to prove they earn a spot in the next stage of the competition, Punam Krishan and Gorka Marquez revealed their best foxtrot to Shania Twain's Man! I Feel Like A Woman! But over on social media, one detail left viewers at home saying the same thing.

Many of them took to Twitter, now X, as they commented on Gorka's black PVC trousers and mesh top, a nod to Shania Twain's video clip for her her song. "Gorka in a kilt and pvc trousers", a delighted fan penned. Another added: "Gorka will find any excuse to wear latex and see through shirts and I love that for him (and us)", while a third echoed: "There was a dance…?! …my eyes were firmly on @gorkamarquez1"

A fourth then chimed in: "This is the reason why @MissGAtkinson is permanently happy @gorkamarquez1 #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing", as they tagged Gorka's life partner, Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson. A fifth continued, praising Strictly stylist Vicky Gill: "@VickyGillDesign 10/10 for gorka’s trousers! #thankyou #Strictly", while another wrote: "In the space of 5 seconds Gorka in a kilt and those trousers." One final fan then quipped: "So there's this smooth and c****, if I may say so, foxtrot and then there's Gorka dressed like he's in The Matrix..."

This comes after Nick Knowles alarmed Strictly Come Dancing viewers earlier on in the week as he revealed he'd sustained an injury just hours after stepping onto the dancefloor on Saturday, September 21. The DIY SOS presenter took to Instagram to share the news with his followers after being caught with his arm in a sling, and explained he suffered from a shoulder injury after trying to change a tyre while driving his 10-year-old son to a birthday party in his honour. His participation in the show this Saturday had been put into question as a result.

While his condition was assessed, the home improvement expert remained hopeful he'd be able to set foot into the ballroom, giving his fans frequent updates on social media. But this also led him to miss hours of training. After two days of rehearsals, however, just as doubt was morphing into despair, Nick Knowles told his fans that he'd been given the all clear to dance with Luba Mushtuk this Saturday.

Footage showed Nick hard at work mastering his next set of dance moves during a segment on BBC Two's Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two. He was shown moving both his arms and twirling his dance partner around. Addressing the cameras, Nick said: "Luba has been extraordinary. From the moment she knew I was injured she has been looking at alternative ways. She must have rebuilt this dance ten times." And the professional dancer herself added: "He is looking incredibly well in hold. He has potential in ballroom!"

Meanwhile a source told The Sun: “Nick is elated that he is being given another chance at getting back on the dancefloor and is focused on his recovery. Nick is in the best hands and will be focussed on getting better before going back into rehearsals. He has absolutely loved the Strictly experience so far so knowing he is still part of the show makes him feel incredibly happy.”
