Louis Tomlinson leaves fans 'shaking' as he attends Zayn Malik's show as feud thaws
Louis Tomlinson has left fans in a state of disbelief after it emerged that he had attended Zayn Malik's sold-out concert in Los Angeles, despite previously admitting tensions were high
by Daniel Bird · The MirrorLouis Tomlinson shocked fans by appearing at a Zayn Malik concert, appearing to put past differences behind them.
The two former One Direction stars had made no secret that their relationship had become strained since Malik's departure from the chart-mauling group in 2015. At the time, he stated he wanted to live a more normal lifestyle and focus on himself, having toured the globe almost continuously for five years.
But it appears that tensions are thawing as Zayn told fans at the Shrine Exposition Hall that an "old friend" was in the audience for the special occasion on Wednesday. Appearing on stage in front of 5,000 adoring fans at the Los Angeles venue, Zayn sent fans into a frenzy when he revealed that Doncaster born Tomlinson was in attendance.
"Tonight's kinda special. An old friend of mine is here for me tonight," the 32-year-old said while the audience let out a huge scream. He went on to add: "He's hidden somewhere here, I don't want to give his location away, but Louis is here tonight," as the crowds previous screams were silenced by an enormous roar. As the show was coming to an end, Malik said: "Let's make these last couple of songs special for Louis, yeah?"
Following the performance, Zayn and Louis were seen leaving the venue together and rushing into an awaiting Cadillac for the pair. After the bombshell, fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reaction as it appears that their feud has finally been settled.
"I'm shaking so bad," exclaimed one. While a second went on to add: "I honestly never thought this would happen again." "Don't f**k with me," commented another. Meanwhile a fourth fan typed: "Not them leaving together….. My heart can't take this!!! How is it even happening!!!!!! Literally so happy!!!"
"Zouis selfie incoming," said another. "If we get a Zouis selfie I won't survive! Its happening!! I've prayed for this for so long," teased a sixth. The pair previously reunited in private at the funeral of their bandmate, Liam Payne in November 2024, following his tragic death on October 16.
Malik had previously delayed the opening of his Stairway to The Sky Tour following Liam's death. However, he has honoured his former bandmate at the end of his shows, while Stardust plays across the venues. During the track, a blue screen is shown to fans with the words: "Liam Payne 1993 - 2024, love you bro," with a red love heart.
Although nothing has been confirmed, it was rumoured last week that at the upcoming BRIT Awards, the former One Direction lads could honour Liam. A source told The Sun: "The tribute to Liam at this year's awards show has caused a real buzz and speculation that the remaining One Direction bandmates could finally come back together again on stage. It would be an entirely fitting way to honour Liam and talks are already under way about how to make this segment of the BRITs unforgettable."
However, no formal plans for the awards ceremony on March 1 have been finalised.
