Nottingham E-bike tragedy as uni student, 21, dies in horror crash on campus

The crash happened in the early hours of this morning on the University of Nottingham's Park Campus, with police confirming that the young woman sustained serious injuries. She was rushed to hospital, but, despite the best efforts of medical staff, was declared dead a short time later, her parents have been informed.
A large police presence remained at the scene of the crash as of 11am this morning, as two Lime bikes were visible within the cordon set up by Nottinghamshire Police. The cordon has been set up on East Drive's junction with Keighton Hill with several police officers and vehicles spotted at the scene.
A security officer for the university told Nottinghamshire Live a "tragic accident" had taken place overnight, with a police officer confirming that there were two bikes involved. The road is set to remain closed until police have concluded their investigations.
