Married mum-of-three 'abducted and gang raped in moving van' for hours

Police say the woman was lured into the back of a van where she was repeatedly raped for two-and-half hours before being thrown out onto the road

A mum of three was subjected to a horrific hours-long gang rape in the back of a moving van before she was thrown onto the road, police in India have said.

The attack happened overnight on Monday and the early hours of Tuesday after the married mum of three was waiting for transport to take her home in Faridabad, near Delhi.

A van stopped and two young men lured the woman inside with a promise of dropping her home. Once inside the vehicle, she was allegedly raped repeatedly as the van was driven towards Gurgaon Road.

She was reportedly imprisoned in the van for around two-and-a-half hours with her attackers assaulting her and making threats when she tried to resist.
