Dovestone reservoir horror as two 'capsized in boat' with desperate search to find missing person

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Dovestone Reservoir at 2.30pm to reports two people had gone into the water when their boat capsized, with one still missing

A rescue operation has been launched to save two people onboard a boat when it capsized, as one remains missing in the water.

Emergency services, including police, firefighters and paramedics are currently in attendance at Dovestone Reservoir after the alarm was raised at around 2.30pm. One person has already been pulled from the water - but another remains missing as the search goes on.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police, said: "Emergency services are currently responding to reports of two people going into water at Dovestones Reservoir.
"One person has been recovered from the water and is currently being treated by paramedics. Attempts are ongoing to locate the second person."
