Argos shoppers rush to grab free Ring doorbells and there's a simple way to get yours
Fancy a new video doorbell on the front of your home? Argos is offering these popular gadgets for free.
by Dave Snelling · The MirrorRing doorbells are some of the most popular home security devices on the market and right now you can get one for free. Yes, Argos really is dishing out connected doorbells and you don't have to pay a penny for the privilege.
For those not in the know, Ring offers an easy way to see who is outside your home with live and recorded footage sent straight to your smartphone.
You can even chat to delivery drivers or you next-door neighbour thanks to a speaker and microphone which is tucked inside. The model Argos is giving away also features a battery pack so it's simple to fit as there's no wiring needed.
So how do you get the free Ring from Argos?
It's pretty simple, all you have to do is buy a new Toshiba telly and you'll get one added your shopping basket basket for free.
Telly models start from £249 and include 4K displays, Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Vision technology.
They also come with Freely installed which means you can access live and on-demand telly without needing an aerial. Freely is just like Sky Glass with it offering channels via a broadband connection. It even lets you pause live TV and displays recommendations of things to watch.
Although you need to buy a new telly to get the Ring, the deal is proving popular with Argos saying the deal is "in demand" and "selling fast".
If you simply want a Ring without a telly then Amazon is selling its latest camera for £99.99 which includes Head-To-Toe View video technology, simple installation and 1440x1440 HD Video with Colour Night Vision.
