Dancing On Ice's first exit 'sealed' as Steve Redgrave dealt crushing blow
Sir Steve Redgrave has been dealt a huge blow ahead of his Dancing On Ice debut, as bookmakers begin to predict which celebrity will take home the trophy on this year's series
by Danni King · The MirrorDancing On Ice 2025 is finally underway, with the second set of celebrities set to make their debuts on the ice on Sunday 18 January during the series' second live show.
The first episode saw Ferne McCann, Chris Taylor, Michaela Strachan, Chelsee Healey, Anton Ferdinand and Sam Aston perform live, with Michaela walking away with the top score of 30 out of 40.
The next instalment of Dancing On Ice will see the remaining celebs - Sir Steve Redgrave, Mollie Pearce, Dan Edgar, Charlie Brooks and Josh Jones - show off their skating skills. However, one star's time on DOI will be cut short as the first public vote will take place too.
Predictions regarding who could be the winner of this year's series have already started circulating, with bookmakers sharing the odds for each celeb.
Things aren't looking too great for Olympian Steve, as he currently is the least likely to take home the trophy, meaning he could potentially be the first to leave.
Betway revealed he is currently sitting at 100/1 to win Dancing On Ice 2025. Meanwhile, Michaela is the favourite to win the show, as she's been named the 3/1 most likely to bag the trophy.
Mollie Pearce and Sam Aston follow closely behind, with them both having odds of 4/1. TOWIE's Dan Edgar sits at 6/1, while Love Island's Chris Taylor is at 7/1 and EastEnders favourite Charlie Brooks is at 13/2.
Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey has odds of 16/1, with Ferne McCann at 25/1 and Anton Ferdinand at 33/1, followed by Josh Jones at 50/1.
Mike Reading, spokesperson at Betway, commented: “The Dancing on Ice launch show delivered spectacular routines and high scores right out of the gate, with Michaela Strachan stealing the spotlight.
That said, we’ve only seen half of the celebrities take to the ice so far, and the leaderboard could shift dramatically once the second group performs this Sunday.”
“There’s plenty of anticipation around stars yet to skate, including The Only Way is Essex’s Dan Edgar (6/1) and EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks (13/2). At the other end of the betting, comedian Josh Jones (50/1) and rowing legend Steve Redgrave (100/1) may face a slippery slope if they don’t impress in their debut routines. But as we’ve seen before, one icy tumble can turn the competition on its head!”
Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday 19 January on ITV1 at 6.30pm
