Harry Potter fans are demanding that significant storylines from the books are put into the new upcoming TV series.

While the eight film adaptations have been hugely successful and are arguably brilliant, some fans believe too much was left out of the books. But a new Harry Potter series adaptation is in the works with HBO and fans believe producers have a chance to use crucial plot lines that were

One storyline that fans will like to see more of when it comes to the new Harry Potter TV series is Ron and Hermione's relationship. One die-hard fan posted on Reddit that the two deserve a "faithful representation" in the new series.

Ron and Hermione end up getting married to each other, but it isn't really until the fourth film that there is attraction between them. However, the films do miss out crucial moments from the book that help to cement their love for one another.

For example, in the Goblet of Fire, Hermione starts an organisation called the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare (S.P.E.W.) in order to champion the rights of house-elves everywhere. During the Battle of Hogwarts in the Deathly Hallows, Ron remembers that the house-elves will likely be trapped in the kitchens and probably need help.

For Hermione, this was arguably a huge moment in their relationship. She saw his genuine care for her and what she cares about, and their long-anticipated moment finally arrives when she kisses him. In response, many fans are in agreement. One said: "I want to see more of the little moments between the two of them, not just the romantic ones, but also the moments where they interact as friends.

"I always enjoyed their banter. It could be their characterisation, but they always seemed a bit disconnected in the movies."

Another added: "The movies rendered them to nothing more than constantly bickering and arguing, which made their feelings for each other feel so sudden and out of the blue!"

While another fan said: "Aye, we are here, and we are cautiously optimistic that this time they will get it right."

Similar to the eight movies, the new show will explore each Harry Potter book in depth over a planned 10-year run. Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO & Max Content, assured fans of a "faithful adaptation."

Production has only just started and HBO is currently looking for its new Harry, Ron and Hermione. Many fans have cast doubt over the TV show, and Ron and Hermione's relationship isn't the only storyline they hope is kept in this time.

In another Reddit thread, one commented: "Still not happy that they are doing it. I'd much rather they make original stories set in the same world as the movies.

"There is so much potential for new story. It's lazy to just do the same thing we already have in two other forms." While another said: "As long as they include as much as they can, and keep it as accurate as they can, I’m good."
