Mo Salah receives HUGE ovation as he makes Liverpool return after furious rant

The Kop made their feelings clear as Mo Salah made his Liverpool return, replacing the injured Joe Gomez after just 26 minutes against Brighton at Anfield

Mo Salah has made his Liverpool return earlier than planned and received a huge ovation from the Reds fans as he came on as a first-half substitute against Brighton.

Salah replaced the injured Joe Gomez after 26 minutes for his first appearance since his furious rant. Salah has had peace talks with boss Arne Slot and the Dutchman did not hesitate to throw him on against the Seagulls.

Dominik Szoboszlai reverted to right-back as Salah took his usual spot in the forward line with Hugo Ekitike having fired Liverpool in front in the first minute, the fastest goal of the Premier League season so far.

Salah received a huge cheer as he came on before being serenaded with his anthem by the Kop. And he nearly made an immediate impact, almost setting up Alexis Mac Allister just a minute after being introduced.

It comes after Salah's extraordinary rant at Elland Road after Liverpool's draw against Leeds when he was left on the bench, his third consecutive Premier League game as a substitute.

"I have done so much for this club down the years and especially last season. Now I'm sitting on the bench, and I don't know why," he said.

"It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That's how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame. I got a lot of promises in the summer, and so far, I am on the bench for three games, so I can't say they keep the promise.

"I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager, and all of a sudden, we don't have any relationship. I don't know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn't want me in the club."
