Man Utd forward transfer confirmed hours after Ruben Amorim's January hint
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has made clear his desire for new players at Old Trafford this month and the Red Devils have already confirmed a deal after striking an agreement
by Daniel Orme · The MirrorManchester United have confirmed yet another January transfer as Ruben Amorim attempts to get his own players in.
The Red Devils need to sell players in order to bring more in for the remainder of the season. Amid a desire to sell, United have already confirmed that a number of the club’s most promising youngsters have been sent out on loan.
Forward Ethan Ennis has become the latest to pen a temporary deal elsewhere. The 20-year-old has signed a loan deal with Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season.
“Ever since I was informed that Grant [McCann] was interested in signing me, it was something I was really interested in,” Ennis said. “Then coming down, meeting the manager and the rest of the lads, I’ve found it really exciting. He thinks I can suit how the team plays, bring my qualities to the team and it go hand in hand. Hopefully it’ll be a success.”

Ennis has been with United since moving from fierce rivals Liverpool as a 16-year-old. He has yet to make his first-team debut but has scored ten goals in 15 appearances for the under-21 side this season.
Ennis’ Doncaster debut could come this weekend in an FA Cup clash with Hull. Amid his exit, United are keen to recruit a new forward with PSG star Randal Kolo-Muani among the players on their shortlist.
Speaking out on potential deals over the coming weeks, United boss Amorim said: "The first thing I think is… I don't remember to say clearly that I want new players.
"What I said is that sometimes the profile for this system is different, and the players came here with a different idea of how to play. So I don't remember saying that so clearly, that I want new players. What I said is that we need to improve recruitment.

"When we are targeting players, we need to be sure that they will cope with the demands. Sometimes, you have to bet a little bit. And what I also said is that we have to improve our academy, to bring young kids that fills the club in the right way, and also with that rules, we are able to do some business and have some money to invest in the team.
"Our idea is always to keep the best players and the players that we build for this club. But we know the position that the club is in at the moment, but we will see. I'm very happy, I like our players, especially the guys from our academy. My players are always my favourites.
"I really love my players. I want to keep my players, especially the talented ones. Like I said, it's a special moment in this club, it's a hard moment, but, of course, I'm really happy with Kobbie [Mainoo], he's improving, and also with Garna [Alejandro Garnacho]."
