Dubai airport has reportedly been struck during the ongoing incidents

Dubai Airports confirmed that an incident occurred at Dubai International Airport a short time ago.

Videos and images reportedly taken from the inside of the airport show smoke filled rooms as people rush to evacuate.

A number of people were reportedly injured as a result of the incident and received urgent medical treatment at the scene.

Dubai Airports said further updates would be shared as soon as additional information became available.

'Incident' at Dubai airport

Officials in Dubai confirmed they were responding to an ongoing incident at the airport.

In a statement, Dubai media office said: "Dubai Airports has confirmed an incident at Dubai International Airport (DXB) just moments ago.

"Emergency response teams have been activated immediately, and the incident is being handled in coordination with the relevant authorities.

"This has resulted in four injuries, and the necessary urgent medical assistance has been provided to them."
