Claudia Winkleman once left fans stunned as she shared a confession about her personal hygiene, revealing she doesn't regularly wash her pillows. The TV presenter, 52, who is best known for fronting Strictly Come Dancing and The Traitors, previously had a discussion with traffic expert Sally Boazman during her time on Radio 2, in which the pair began talking about washing their bedsheets.

Sally revealed she'd began washing hers "every three days", saying: "I've started washing my bedsheets every three days. I just think that washing your sheets very frequently gives you a better night's sleep." However, Claudia wasn't sold on the idea, as she branded it "quite a lot of work" and admitted that she thinks "once a week is absolutely fine".

The mum-of-three went on to joke that there are "little animals and bugs" nesting in her pillows. She quipped that she "welcomes all" as "they've got to live somewhere" in the fun exchange. Puzzled by her confession, Sally asked Claudia whether she washes her pillows. The TV presenter responded: "What do you mean, the actual pillows? No, how do you do that?" Sally warned Claudia: "You don't want to know what's in your pillows, you really don't. There's a lot of bad stuff in your pillows," before explaining that they can be put in the washing machine or dropped to the dry cleaners.

Meanwhile, Strictly is embroiled in a 'favouritism' row, with bosses accused of handing one couple a 'blank cheque'. During Sunday's (September 29) first results episode, fans saw Olympian Tom Dean become the first star to be voted off this series. The first results show kicked off with a routine from the judges and professional dancers to When Doves Cry by Prince. There was also a show-stopping musical performance of God Gave Me Feet for Dancing from Ezra Collective featuring Yazmin Lacey.

However, what caught the attention of many viewers was an announcement made during the programme that some thought came 'too early' in the season. Host Claudia revealed to the contestants that Punam and her pro partner Gorka will be tackling a Couple's Choice dance, where duos pick from one of three dancing styles.

Audience members took issue, arguing such a twist shouldn't come so soon. Expressing dismay on X, one Strictly viewer tweeted: "No. Absolutely no need for a couples choice in week 3 #SCD #Strictly."

Fans did not hold back their opinions on the latest twist, with another tweeting: "On no not Couples Choice next week. Too early and Doctor who? needs to learn basics first #Strictly," while another echoed the sentiment, saying "A couples choice? Already? #scd #strictly."

One fan also chimed in with a resounding: "Nooooo not couple's choice! ! ! #strictly," and @Survivinthe20s didn't mince words either: "Couples choice is just a blank cheque to hand out high scores and save somebody. It needs binned. #strictly."
