Here we rank Tottenham's Nike home shirts since the 2017/18 season following leaked images of next campaign's design

The design of a football kit always divides the opinion of fans. It has always been the case and it will continue to be like that in the future.

For the designers of Tottenham's kits, they always have to find a way of doing something different as there is only so much you can do with a plain white jersey. Navy blue features on a Spurs shirt regularly and over the past few years we have seen a touch of yellow added to the design.

Since the 2017/18 season, American sportswear giant Nike have been supplying Tottenham's home, away and third kits. Signing a bumper deal in 2017, Nike's contract with the north London club runs until the summer of 2033.

Only a handful of clubs change shirts every two seasons and that does present a challenge for kit manufacturers when it comes to designing new home, away and third strips every 12 months. Images of Tottenham's kits for the 2025/26 season have been doing the rounds recently and it's fair to say that plenty of fans aren't too keen on the home top.

However, the opinion of many may well change once the official photos are released and players such as Son Heung-min and Lucas Bergvall can be seen wearing it. But what exactly is Tottenham's best home kit since Nike replaced Under Armour? football.london have had a go at ranking all eight shirts below.

8) 2023/24

Nike opted for something different with Tottenham's 2023/24 home strip as the club returned to an all-Lilywhite kit. The white shirt did come with navy blue on the cuffs of the shirt.
The shirt also featured a subtle pattern of overlapping circles and lines that drew inspiration from the sounds of London N17 and the area’s broadcasting history. Not a bad effort but maybe a bit bland in all honesty.(Image: Stephen Pond/Getty Images)

7) 2019/20

Tottenham's 2019/20 home kit was perhaps similar to the one they wore in 2023/24 as there was only a hint of navy blue on there. However, it did look better paired with navy blue shorts as opposed to white shorts.

6) 2018/19

Tottenham's 2018/19 home shirt graced a Champions League final after the team's incredible run to set up a showdown with Liverpool in Madrid. Nike's design was certainly different from their previous effort as it featured a striking a navy blue print at the bottom of the shirt.
The design just didn't work with Tottenham's white shorts in Europe, though, and it probably is ranked slightly higher in our list because of the run to the final of Europe's premier competition.(Image: Mike Hewitt/Getty Images))

5) 2022/23

The club's home shirt in the 2022/23 season certainly stood out a bit more following Nike's decision to add a touch of 'neon volt' to their latest effort. Going with a navy blue collar and cuffs, it was complemented by fluorescent yellow to make it pop.

4) 2020/21

Supporters will remember the 2020/21 Nike home shirt for the return of Gareth Bale to N17. The Welshman returned on loan from Real Madrid and scored 16 goals in total under Jose Mourinho and then interim boss Ryan Mason.
The shirt featured a bold design that was created by reimagined graphics from old jerseys. Blocks of blue covered the shoulders and the V-neck collar also had a hint of yellow, with blue and yellow on the tape running down the side of the top.

3) 2024/25

This season's Tottenham home shirt is reminiscent of the Kappa design the club wore in the 2005/06 season when Martin Jol was in charge. Going with navy blue sleeves and a round-neck collar, the shirt cuffs are finished off with eye-catching white and blue stripes.

2) 2021/22

Tottenham's 2021/22 home shirt was certainly plain in comparison to Nike's effort the previous campaign. However, it was a really simple and clean design that paid tribute to the club's iconic cockerel crest in its centenary year.

1) 2017/18

Tottenham's first Nike home shirt takes some beating. After making the switch from Under Armour in the summer of 2017, Nike produced a wonderful effort that went down extremely well with supporters.
Going for a touch of navy blue on the collar and down the side of the shirt, Tottenham's famous cockerel was enclosed in a shield after exiting White Hart Lane to play their football at Wembley while their new home was constructed.
