Mikel Arteta tells Arsenal two things that will decide PSG Champions League semi-final tie

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told his players the two things they will need to beat Paris Saint-Germain and reach the Champions League final.

The Gunners take on the French giants in the semi-final of Europe's most prestigious competition after knocking out Real Madrid in the previous round. Should they be victorious, they will meet one of Barcelona or Inter Milan.

Arteta's men haven't reached the final of the competition since 2006, where they lost 2-1 to Barcelona, and only returned to the big stage last season after a six-year absence.

PSG have knocked Liverpool and Aston Villa out in the competition so far with the January signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia taking them to the next level. Arsenal beat the French champions 2-0 in the league phase, although there was no Ousmane Dembele in the team.

The France international has scored 32 goals and assisted 12 in 44 games this season, becoming one of Europe's most dangerous attackers. However, despite the firepower in both teams, Arteta has insisted the outcome of the tie will come down to the mindset and attitude of his players.

He said: "When you get to this stage, the margins and difference between two teams is not big, it's about mindset and attitude and how we're going to play tomorrow."

Arteta continued: "This is a moment to say this is who we are as a team. To play with that mindset. Now is about where the limits, and how far is it where I want to go."

PSG boss Luis Enrique, speaking before Arteta, revealed how he plans to take his team to the final at Arsenal's expense. "Honestly, it is a Champions League semi-final which means its a game the same as any other game," he said.

"The key to the game will be how we manage different parts of the game. We need to have a hand of all the different elements, that will be the most important."
