Chelsea's next five fixtures compared to title rivals Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal
by Jake Stokes · football.londonChelsea will be eager to return to winning ways after November's international break. Leicester City will lock horns with the Blues at the King Power Stadium next weekend as those two sides aim to climb the Premier League table.
The west Londoners were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal before the current gap. Meanwhile, Manchester United stormed past the Foxes in a 3-0 demolition. Chelsea have been widely tipped as favourites, although they could receive a particularly hostile reception.
Enzo Maresca and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall both - somewhat controversially - left the Midlands-based club to join the Blues in the summer. So, with that being said, football.london has looked at Chelsea's upcoming fixtures and how they compare to their main rivals;
Leicester City (A) - Premier League - Saturday, November 23
Maresca will be hoping his men can leap out of the gates after the international break, upon his return to the King Power Stadium. The Italian joined Chelsea from Leicester in the summer after leading the Foxes to promotion back into the Premier League.
Heidenheim (A) - Conference League - Thursday, November 28
The Blues currently sit top of the Conference League standings after a perfect start to the campaign. Domestically, Heidenheim have had a mixed start to the season, sitting 10th in the Bundesliga. But, in Europe, they too have won each of their first two games.
Aston Villa (H) - Premier League - Tuesday, December 1
While Chelsea will be pleased to return to Stamford Bridge, at this stage, they must face Aston Villa. Unai Emery has done a brilliant job at Villa Park, transforming the club into a top Premier League outfit again.
Southampton (A) - Premier League - Wednesday, December 4
As the festive schedule begins to gather pace, Chelsea are back on the road. As it stands, Southampton are rock-bottom of the English top-flight with just four points to their name.
Tottenham (A) - Premier League - Friday December 8
Another away day! This fixture will not disappoint. A London derby under the lights on a Friday night is a recipe for pure chaos. This is also a great chance for Maresca to lay down a marker. A real measure of the exciting project he's building at Chelsea.
