Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has provided updates on defenders Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Ayden Heaven and Diogo Dalot ahead of next week's Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Both Spurs and United head into the final fully aware of the pressure that is on them to be victorious in Bilbao. The two clubs sit 17th and 16th respectively in the Premier League table and for some time, this competition has represented the only realistic prospect of either side making the Champions League next season.

Ahead of the match, United are suffering with a host of injury issues in their defence. With Lisandro Martinez already ruled out for the remainder of the season, Yoro, De Ligt and Heaven's absences have been difficult for the Reds.

Yoro picked up his injury most recently against West Ham as he suffered a foot concern at the weekend. De Ligt picked up a knee issue during the defeat to Brentford while Heaven has been missing with a knock since the loss at Newcastle last month.

Reflecting on the trio in his press conference, Amorim said: "I don't know if they are going to be available. We are going to try and push because it is the final matches and there is a final.

"All the players want to play in that really bad. I don't think they will go to Chelsea, but we will have a possibility to have some of them in the final."

While those three are touch-and-go to face Spurs, Dalot is battling with a calf problem that was picked up in training. Being more specific on the Portuguese, Amorim added: "Dalot is trying really bad.

"I don't want to risk Dalot because when you start getting one injury, a second injury, it is a big thing. We cannot have these kinds of problems in our squad.

"We will see. He is working really hard to get in the final."

Before Spurs, United will travel to Stamford Bridge in a game that will go a long way to deciding Chelsea's fate for next season's Champions League. For some time now, Amorim has been choosing a rotated line-up for the Premier League and as such, the Blues will be seen as heavy favourites.
