Is Bukayo Saka fit to start for Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest? Injury latest and FPL update

Arsenal return to action this weekend when they take on Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. The game is the first of a long festive period which sees the Gunners play 10 times before 2025.

If Mikel Arteta's men are to make up the ground on Liverpool at the top of the table, they will need their best players available. Ahead of the visit of Forest, all eyes will be on whether Bukayo Saka is fit.

The forward, who has scored four times this season, withdrew from the England squad for this month's international break after being forced off in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea earlier this month.

Over 25% of Fantasy Football players on the official Premier League website currently have Saka in their teams for this weekend's round of fixtures and are sweating for an update.

What has been said about Saka's injury?

After coming off against Chelsea before the international break, Arteta provided an update on Saka. "It doesn't look good, because for two players of that importance to tell you they cannot continue in the game [versus Chelsea], obviously it's not good news," he said of the forward and Declan Rice.

Arteta will face the press later this week to provide an update on Saka.

Will Saka be fit to face Forest in Gameweek 12?

Fantasy Premier League gives Saka a 75 per cent chance of playing due to a 'knock'. However, that has been the same since the Chelsea game with no comments from Arteta.

Saka has won four of his six games against Forest throughout his career, scoring two goals and assisting another.
