Arsenal have triple transfer 'interest' after Champions League exit as Andrea Berta plan emerges

by · football.london

Arsenal are reportedly already putting transfer plans in place after the disappointment of their Champions League exit.

The Gunners will now be looking ahead to the summer transfer window after their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final.

The 2-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes, resulting in a 3-1n aggregate loss, means that Arsenal are no longer able to win a major trophy this season.

Mikel Arteta and Co. have just three Premier League matches left to play this season, starting with an away trip to champions Liverpool on Sunday.

With the focus now on securing Champions League football for another season, Arsenal are already being linked with several potential new signings for when the summer transfer window opens.

TEAMtalk are reporting that three wingers are being considered as possible targets for Arsenal going into the transfer window.

It has been claimed that Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford, Jamie Gittens of Borussia Dortmund and Ademola Lookman of Atalanta are all on a shortlist of targets for Arsenal this summer.

The report claims that Arsenal view Mbuemo, Gittens and Lookman as options who could play on the right wing, although it seems that neither of the trio is the frontrunner to move to the Emirates Stadium at this stage.

Lookman is viewed as a candidate for the Gunners to sign in the summer. Atalanta reportedly value the Nigeria international at more than €60million (£51million).

Mbeumo and Gittens would also cost a reasonable amount of money if Arsenal were to try and sign either of the duo, according to the report. Brentford reportedly value Mbeumo at €60million (£51million), while Dortmund could be willing to accept a similar fee for Gittens.

Arsenal currently have Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli as their current wide-forward options.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with signing a new striker when the transfer window opens, so it remains to be seen if a winger will be on the agenda for new sporting director Andrea Berta.
