football.london takes a look at how the Gunners could line up for their Champions League clash with Inter Milan at the San Siro

It's been a busy few days at Arsenal. Mikel Arteta was dealt a large blow by the announcement that Edu will be leaving the club.

As if that wasn't enough to deal with the Spaniard has also had his club record signing ruled out through injury. Declan Rice did not train with the rest of the squad on Tuesday and will miss Wednesday evening's Champions League clash against Inter Milan.

There is at least positive news that Martin Odegaard is back available. The Gunners captain trained as normal on Tuesday and could feature against the Serie A side. It's a huge boost for everyone associated with the Gunners, although Odegaard may need to be eased back into action given he has not played since the 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of August.

With Arsenal in something of a rut it's crucial that Arteta gets his team selection spot on. Here's who football.london expect the Gunners to pick.

Goalkeeper - David Raya

David Raya's last trip to Italy saw him make probably the best save he's made this season. Expect the Spaniard to replicate that in Milan.(Image: Stuart MacFarlane/Arsenal FC via Getty Images)

Right back - Ben White

Centre back -William Saliba

Centre back - Gabriel

Left back - Jurrien Timber

Timber couldn't do an awful lot to stop Anthony Gordon's cross for Alexander Isak on Saturday. He still had a decent game though and will want to keep up that form in Milan.

Central midfielder - Thomas Partey

Thomas Partey did a decent job once again at right back up at St. James' Park. With Rice out and White available expect him to move back into midfield though.

Central midfield - Mikel Merino

With Declan Rice out injured, this promises to be a big week for Mikel Merino. He'll want to start that in the San Siro.(Image: Stuart MacFarlane/Arsenal FC via Getty Images)

Right wing - Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka could easily have grabbed another assist at the weekend despite having a quiet afternoon. He'll want to go one better in Milan.(Image: Photo by Stu Forster/Getty Images)

Left wing - Gabriel Martinelli

The Brazilian did not have the most high quality of games on Saturday, but with options limited he will likely keep his starting place.

Centre forward - Leandro Trossard

The Belgian was below par against Newcastle continuing a poor run of personal form. Arteta will hope he can break that against Inter.

Centre forward - Kai Havertz

The German was far from his best against Newcastle. He'll hope to grab his first goal away from home this week though.(Image: (Photo by David Price/Arsenal FC via Getty Images))
