This weekend The Sidemen will be joined by a whole host of the internet's biggest content creators to raise money at their charity football match event. One of those who finds the spotlight shining on himself is US Twitch streamer Kai Cenat.

The 23-year-old, full name Kai Carlo Cenat III, shot to prominence on the platform in 2021 after migrating from YouTube, by which point he was already a part of the US collective AMP alongside fellow charity match player 'Fanum', real name Roberto Escanio Pena.

Fast-forward to the present day and he is ranked the fourth-most followed creator on Twitch with 16.7 million, with the most watch time of 11.5m hours accumulated of any rival streamers.

But how has Cenat managed this? What am I missing out, you may ask if unfamiliar?

Well, his strategy was to start by gaining popularity by initially including celebrity guests on his streams. Rappers Bobby Shmurda, Lil Baby and 21 Savage were just a few that helped entertain at the very start.

By 2023 the Bronx-born streamer was an internet celebrity himself, listed as part of Rolling Stone's '20 Most Influential Creators' that year as he won 'Streamer of the Year' at the 13th Streamy Awards.

Forbes also named Cenat 44th on their Top Creators list, estimating his annual earnings that year to be $4.4m (£3.4m). At this time more guests were happy to get involved, including his first affiliation with Sidemen member and British superstar KSI, and in September 2023 he was invited to play at the last charity match event.

On that day he unleashed an excellent first-time finish into the back of KSI's goal after five minutes at West Ham's London Stadium, celebrating wildly. It was only when he realised the linesman's flag was raised that disappointment and confusion dawned, with replays showing he was well offside.

His platform has only grown since then too, last year making popular live stream events with rappers Tyla, Ice Spice and actor Kevin Hart. The 23-year-old had reportedly been making him $23,280 (£18,515) per month beforehand, but increased popularity likely means that figure has only gone up.

As a grand total from all of this, Celebrity Net Worth now calculates Cenat as being worth $14m (£11.1m).
