Arsenal fans will have an easy way to watch the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle thanks to a decision by Sky Sports.

The Gunners will take on the Magpies in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final on Tuesday night at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta's side will be hoping to join either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur in the Wembley Stadium final, which takes place on March 16.

Victory over Crystal Palace in the quarter-final in December saw Arsenal book their place in the last-four contest against Newcastle. The Gunners go into the game having been held to a draw with Brighton in the Premier League at the weekend.

Sky Sports will be broadcasting the game from the Emirates and have made a major change for their coverage of the fixture. It's not just Sky that will be covering the game, with fans having another option to watch the match without the need for a paid subscription.

ITV also have the rights to broadcast the Carabao Cup semi-final this week. The match will be free to watch on ITV1, with coverage starting at 7.30pm and will also be available to live stream via ITVX to those with an account.

This will be the first time that the Carabao Cup has been broadcast on terrestrial TV since the 2012 final of the competition, which saw Liverpool beat Cardiff City in a penalty shootout. As well as the first leg between Arsenal and Newcastle, ITV will also be broadcasting the second leg of the other semi-final between Tottenham and Liverpool next month.

Additionally, football.london will be in attendance at the Emirates to provide live updates and post-match analysis of the Carabao Cup-semi-final between Arsenal and Newcastle.
