How to unlock Mineru - Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Hopefully, she won't build any scary robots while she is here.

If you have been eager for a new snooty villager to live with in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you'll be happy to know that Mineru is being added as part of the Version 3.0 Update that launches on January 15. This is how to add her, but keep in mind that it is amiibo-based, so you won't be able to get her if you don't own one of the amiibo listed below.

How to unlock Tulin - Animal Crossing: New Horizons

You will be able to invite Mineru to your campsite in Animal Crossing: New Horizons if you scan one of the following amiibo.

• Zelda (Super Smash Bros.)
• Sheik (Super Smash Bros.)
• Ganondorf (Super Smash Bros.)
• Wolf Link (The Legend of Zelda)
• Link (Ocarina of Time)
• Link (Twilight Princess)
• Link (The Legend of Zelda)
• Link (Rider)
• Guardian (The Legend of Zelda)
• Zelda (Breath of the Wild)
• Urbosa (The Legend of Zelda)
• Mipha (The Legend of Zelda)
• Link (Link's Awakening)
• Zelda (Tears of the Kingdom)

How to scan an amiibo on Nintendo Switch

To scan an amiibo, you need to follow the below steps:

• Ensure that your console is updated to the latest System version, and your game is updated to the most recent update version. 
• Play through the game until you have the campsite unlocked, and have moved in your first villager using the campsite.
• Once that is done, go visit the ATM in your Resident Services Building
• Select the "Invite Camper" option
• Hold the amiibo to your NFC Touchpoint on your controller. Usually, the right controller for Joy-Cons.
• You will then be asked if you wish to invite the recognized character, based on the amiibo you scanned, to the island.
