All Simple Lock locations & items - Resident Evil Requiem
Find out if you should spend your lockpicks on the Simple Locks on the drawers and doors around Resident Evil Requiem.
by Sam Chandler · ShacknewsMuch like the previous games, there are locked drawers and doors to find in Resident Evil Requiem. Each of these Simple Locks hold a valuable item and you likely want to know which ones you should open with your single-use lockpicks.
All Simple Lock items
Every drawer locked with a Simple Lock contains Rare Metal. This is a resource used in crafting 12.7x55mm ammo for the mighty Requiem revolver. You will need to find a lockpick to open a Simple Lock, which presents its own problem as lockpicks are single-use items. Here are the locations of each drawer or door with a Simple Lock:
- East Wing Lobby
- Restroom hallway, West Wing
- Gallery, Chairman’s Office
- Bunkroom, Basement
- Inspection Room, Basement
The good news about the Simple Locks is that you won’t be wasting your lockpicks as they all contain the same thing. Whenever you find a lockpick, use it on the nearest Simple Lock instead of stowing it away for later.
If you collect all Rare Metal and use them to craft ammunition, you should have 10 extra rounds for Requiem, plus however many you had when Leon hands it over to Grace. This will make it easier when dealing with The Girl as well as other threats throughout the story.
Once you exit the Care Center, you will find different sorts of locked boxes, so use all your lockpicks on the Simple Locks before you leave through the front door. You’ll find more guides on our Resident Evil Requiem page.
