In the release of its recent earnings results, NVIDIA also discussed its forecasts for the quarter ahead. NVIDIA is expecting a revenue of around 91 billion for Q2 FY27, but it is not currently factoring “data center compute revenue” from China in that forecasted revenue estimate.

NVIDIA addressed its Q2 FY27 in its Q1 FY27 earnings results, posted on its investor relations website. There, it shared the following statement under the “Outlook” section:

Revenue is expected to be $91.0 billion, plus or minus 2%. We are not assuming any Data Center compute revenue from China in our outlook.

NVIDIA (NVDA) stock bounced up and down in after-hours trading following the release of its Q1 FY27 earnings results, which included Q2 FY27 forecasts.

The NVIDIA Corporation has run into issues trying to do business in China for a while, with the situation exacerbated by contentious trade relations between the United States and China. Though NVIDIA purchased trade licenses to sell its AI H200 chips in China, it met with resistance when the country’s government urged its companies not to buy NVIDIA’s chips. US President Donald Trump has worked with NVIDIA to attempt to open up a deal which it would also pay a percentage of sales into the US government, but NVIDIA has yet to make real headway on active business in the region.

With its Q2 FY27 forecast, it doesn’t look like NVIDIA expects that to immediately change. As we watch for updates, stay tuned to the NVIDIA topic.
